New One-Stop Shop for Real Estate Coordination in Mexico City

In Mexico City, the Unified Real Estate Coordination Window was created in order to simplify the procedures for developers in the capital. The Head of Government, Clara Brugada, emphasized that this initiative will seek to combat corruption in the real estate sector, describing it as an antidote against the real estate cartel.

Brugada mentioned that this window will be a useful tool expected to have a positive impact on the economic growth of Mexico City, promoting both public and private investment. The goal is to boost the city's development and ensure legal certainty in real estate processes.

The administration aims to build more than 200,000 homes financed by the local government while also intending to prevent gentrification. The importance of infrastructure in attracting investment to the city was emphasized, keeping it competitive globally.

The president of the Coordinating Business Council, Francisco Alberto Cervantes, praised the results of the Capital Government and highlighted that the Unified Window is a key factor in positioning Mexico City among the top five destinations worldwide. The generation of employment was highlighted as a fundamental pillar of this policy.

Alejandro Encinas, head of Planning and Land Management of CDMX, mentioned that the Unified Window will be a collaborative discussion space with developers and involved parties under optimal conditions. Its functions will include the analysis of project feasibility, monitoring, and compliance with integration measures.

Investors will be able to monitor their projects ensuring adherence to legality, respecting the competencies of each area, and combating corruption in the process of project monitoring and approval.
